Meaira makes clothes for women who dress for the weather and would rather not look like it.

Why Meaira exists

Most wardrobes have a gap in exactly the same place. There is the coat that keeps the rain out and looks like equipment, and there is the coat that looks right and gives up the moment the sky opens. Between the two sits a whole season of days where you take the wrong one and regret it by lunchtime.

Meaira is built around closing that gap. A rain jacket that goes over a dress without announcing itself. A quilted coat that reads as tailoring from across the street. Knitwear you can live in from October to March without it losing its shape. The idea is not complicated, and it does not need a manifesto: clothes that work, in colours that do not fight each other, cut so they still look considered at the end of a long day.

Our mission

To make the practical half of a wardrobe worth wearing. Function is usually treated as the opposite of style, as if a hood or a zip has to be apologised for. We think the opposite: the most useful piece in your wardrobe should also be one of the best-looking, because that is the one you reach for most often.

Our vision

A wardrobe where nothing needs to be replaced every season. Quiet colours that sit together without effort. Shapes that carry from one year into the next rather than dating in twelve months. Fewer pieces, chosen because they earn their place, and no pressure to keep up with anything.

What we stand for

Quiet over loud. No slogans across the chest, no oversized branding, nothing that dates the piece to the month it was made. If a garment needs a logo to be recognised, it is not doing its job.

Neutral first. Our colour world stays in a narrow, warm register: sand, stone, cream, charcoal, deep brown, ink. Colours that go together by default, so getting dressed stops being a puzzle.

Weather is not an excuse. Rain, wind and cold are ordinary parts of most of the year. Clothes should be built for them rather than around them.

Say only what is true. We describe what is visible in the photographs and nothing else. No invented reviews, no manufactured urgency, and every claim on this site is one we stand behind. Ask us something and you get a straight answer.

How we look after you

Service is the part of a shop you only notice when it goes wrong, so we keep ours simple and we keep it in writing:

Free shipping on every order, with no minimum and no surcharge.
Duties and import fees included in the price. Nothing is collected on delivery.
30 days to return from the day your order arrives.
Free exchanges for a different size or colour, with the replacement dispatched as soon as you register it. You do not wait for your return to reach us first.
A real reply, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST/EDT (Eastern Time).
